Into the New Year

What a year it's been. More drama than you can shake a stick at and more changes to our SL experience than I think most of us thought we needed (or wanted) We've learned a lot and lived through some things that would turn most off their lunch much less their logging in and yet here we are still. I wonder sometimes if it's worth it to keep it up.

Should I go back to working a 9 to 5 and leave the pressure and the scrutiny and the judgement to those who have thicker skins and then I think again. This is the most exciting, most wonderful job I can ask for. When a customer IMs or sends a note and goes all fangirl on me or thanks me for something that was nothing to me but to them it meant so much...that's why I keep going.

Not for fame, not for acceptance or popularity but for the customers. They're all that really matters. So I'm making plans for the new year... every change, every new direction. Expanding, learning, collaborating, exploring and working with some of the most amazing people I ever knew. The reality of that is so much better than the fantasy.

Happy end of the year and here's to a wonderfully exciting beginning to the new one full of expectation, hope, positivity and growth.
