Pulse and Sn@tch City are offering a shop for FREE to a new designer every month. The shop located right inside my main store will be available by application and of our choosing each month for a month for FREE.
We love to celebrate and encourage new talent, especially alternative designers (horror, goth, punk, grunge, trashy, glam etc), so to do this pro-actively, we are offering a store to new designers on our sim. We've been doing this for several months now and found it's a great way for new creators to get a little leg up and exposure in a busy shopping area and on the blogs. Former new designer stores include RaRa Avis, Deco, Tyranny, Black Canary & Silver Wheel.
The rules are simple...
You must follow the directions of the application.You must have been designing for six months or under.You must be available to set up your store within two days of notice.Your items must be of a more alternative nature, be it clothing, accessories, avatar enhancements, household or prim design.
Choosing from the applications will be difficult enough, so please follow these instructions carefully. Put the following items in a folder and name it .....Free Shop Application-"Your Name" and send the whole folder to Ivey Deschanel. Anything that is sent not in an appropriately named folder will be declined or disqualified.
1. A notecard that lists, your name, your brand/store name, the approximate date you began designing and a short explaination of why you began designing in SL.
2. At least FIVE vendor ads/images. You are welcome to send more but don't get nuts lol
3. A sample item so we can see the close up quality (can be just a shirt, freebie or small item)
4. A landmark to your main store if you have one.
If you are chosen we will notify you personally by the first of the month and your free shop rental will run until the first of the next month. The free store designer will also be announced in our blog, on the SL fashion feeds and in Fashcon announcements and group notices for Sn@tch.
Store Details:
The space will be empty and we will allow 100 prims total. up to 50 for product and 50 to decorate with. Please understand that any heavy scripts that affect sim performance or anything that laps over into the neighboring stores (floating text, lighting etc) we may ask you to remove. No temp rezzers or scripted vendors please, only single prim simple vendors. We also request that you stay somewhat within design style of the sim but have fun with it and be creative and promote your personal brand and style!
All applications will be kept for the next month and considered in the next application period. We're not as concerned with supreme quality as we are with potential and creativity so don't think you couldn't get it because you're unsure of yourself. It never hurts to try and its a great oppotunity for a new designer...so go for it!

Spring Cleaning at Sn@tch
I knowwww...lame title but it's too pretty to hang out typing now. So this is just a reprint of what was in my group notice this week lol. In case you didnt know...we're having a spring sale!
I'm just gonna cut to the damn chase and tell you all we're having a 50% off sale this weekend. It started yesterday morning after Rob and I got done marking down EVERY vendor in the store lol. Man...what a job. Anyways...all outfits, separates, shoes, boots, accessories, kitteh things, mens, skins, eyes, shapes, hair...ALL HALF OFF through Monday! It's spring cleaning time and man I cant believe we've had the new sim almost four months already...that blows me away how time flies I swear.
The only things I didnt mark down were the free and cheap room cause well thats ultra cheap already. Even the stuff on the new release wall is marked 50% off including "FERAL" the new sheer dress set. After the polka dot versions week before last I had people asking me over and over to make prints so here they are in cheetah, camo, zebra, plaid and my fave PONY...the fatpack of five is only 175 L! The price of just one separately!
Ok thats enough exclaimation points I think LOL. I wanted to let you know too in advance that I'm going to be doing my freebies a little different after this last month and alla the controversy. I really want to reward my regular customers and yet keep the lag down on release days for you guys too. I love to give you things. It's absolutely one of my fave things to do so...I'll still keep up with the lucky chairs, fortune teller and riotvender, plus we're gonna be having some new games, mysteries with prizes and I'm getting fishing for outfits realllly soon, hopefully by next week.
ALSO...I'm going to open a Sn@tch VIP group. Don't look yet cause its not open. When I do have it set up, prolly by Monday I'll let you all know. It's going to be a paid in world group and everyone in it will get great free stuff all the time. The cool thing is...you guys, all my regular customers and SoM group members will have a free pass before it goes to a paid basis. I'll let you know as soon as its ready. I'd much rather send you all things than have you have to battle the freebie grabber lag on release days.
Thats it for me, I'm out for a bit to do some RL stuff. If you find something thats not marked down, please let me know or let a model or manager know and be patient I'll get back to you as soon as I can and fix it. With so much stuff its easy to miss something in there lol.
Just a last minute note about bullies in SL and on blogs and online communities. Please if you see someone being unfairly harassed or picked on and you know its not right...do something, say something. Don't be afraid and don't let it continue cause you wouldnt stand up for someone and be true! In the immortal words of Bill and Ted...Be Excellent to each other! Heyy one more exclaimation point isnt gonna kill ya.

Fashion Designers Challenge or I'm such a TEASE
The FDC event has been a ton of fun and a great experience. I adore doing these kinds of things cause making something so completely out of my element really expands my experience as a designer and gives me incentive and really...permission to try new things. As most of you know, I make punk/club and goth clothes and accessories for the most part. My challenge was to do a simple ladies classic suit. WTF...first thing I thought was how boring! But omg, its not as easy as you would think! This turned out to be a huge challenge for me and I actually had to rein myself in from my usual processes and keep it toned down. What came out of it I think its a good mix of the challenge outline and my own personal style. I really hope everyone likes it and thanks to everyone involved in this event. Come see all the stuff when you can. It's really amazing.
