Into the New Year

What a year it's been. More drama than you can shake a stick at and more changes to our SL experience than I think most of us thought we needed (or wanted) We've learned a lot and lived through some things that would turn most off their lunch much less their logging in and yet here we are still. I wonder sometimes if it's worth it to keep it up.

Should I go back to working a 9 to 5 and leave the pressure and the scrutiny and the judgement to those who have thicker skins and then I think again. This is the most exciting, most wonderful job I can ask for. When a customer IMs or sends a note and goes all fangirl on me or thanks me for something that was nothing to me but to them it meant so much...that's why I keep going.

Not for fame, not for acceptance or popularity but for the customers. They're all that really matters. So I'm making plans for the new year... every change, every new direction. Expanding, learning, collaborating, exploring and working with some of the most amazing people I ever knew. The reality of that is so much better than the fantasy.

Happy end of the year and here's to a wonderfully exciting beginning to the new one full of expectation, hope, positivity and growth.

Go Ivey..It's Your Rez Day

Yesss it's my rez day and that is the very first pic of me in SL...I'm about 5 days old. Three years ago I stumbled into orientation island and immediately slammed into a stranger, then into a wall, then off the path into the grass and I think I've been stumbling my way through ever since. People say it seems like only yesterday but for me that couldn't me more untrue. It seems like forever ago that I first learned to open a box and copy the contents to my inventory folder or that someone showed me how to adjust my boots so my skin didn't poke through, or that awesome day when I found out what an AO was. I feel like people now really take those kind of things for granted since we've been around for awhile. Please remember to pay those kindnesses forward and help out when a new player asks or needs help. Somebody helped us once so we wouldn't look dumb. I see too many people point and laugh at noobs rather than help them out. Just try to remember what it was like for you and how grateful you were when someone went out of their way to do that. I'd like to thank the chick that showed me how to teleport and sent me the landmarks to Wrong, Bare Rose, Nomine, Goth1C0 and Pixeldolls. I still remember you. Who'd have thought three years later I would have my own successful business in SL. several sims, my partner in SL and RL and my incredible friends and family. Thank you SL for 3 amazing years and I can't wait to see what's next.

Brrrr...its cold in here

No more denying it's sweater and coat weather and though I hate putting more clothes on my avatar, I have to concede it makes me brrrr in RL when I'm not dressed for it in SL. Here are some of the newest things from Sn@tch. And some of them are for indoor central heating lol

Stumblebum Brigade @ Sn@tch

I'm so happy to be a Stumblebum Brigadier and be in the company of such fantastic talent. Thank you to Tyr Rozenblum, Apatia Hammerer and thanks also to Krysten Jigsaw for the awesome graphics. If you don't know what the Stumblebum Brigade is yet, you will so read on!

Finally the Stumblebum Brigadiers are rolling in for our first week of the Stumblebum project! A first in an ongoing weekly event that will bring you 10 designers each weekend with exclusive limited edition items to make you look better than your friends! This event is for all those fashionistas and fashion friendly who liking having that whole "I have something you dont" edge over their peers!
